Doug is the drummer for musical artist, Secs on the Beach. He's a permanent member of the group. The costume consists of a latex mask with attached cowl and gloves. Doug began as a party store costume. I stripped the whole thing down to just the uncolored latex and rebuilt it from the ground up. He got a completely new paint job using a combination of brush and airbrush techniques. The mouth, nails, and inner nose got a slight shine. I removed the latex teeth and replaced them with hand sculpted clay ones. All of the fabric pieces were re-patterned and replaced. I painted the hair to have a slight ombre for depth. All of the hair around the face was needle punched into the latex for realism. Et voilà!
